4G BlackBerry Coming to T-Mobile?

tb0i

Here is something that is a bit funny as it is interesting. We are not sure if this is just an error on T-Mobile’s part or if they really have 4G plans available for a BlackBerry.

While T-Mobile may be advertising 4G, they are years away from having a full scale 4G nationwide coverage. Nevertheless, a call to T-Mobile customer service has proven nothing, except that they don’t know, as usual. So what could this be? Is T-Mobile really gearing up for a 4G BlackBerry or just a re-branded 3G HSPA+?

Check out http://my.t-mobile.com to see the add on plans if you are a T-Mobile customer.

Thanks Morry!

  1. I played with a galaxy tablet at a Tmobile store this week and it was running on the 4G network. Must be available in my area why not on my blackberry?

T-Mobile’s definition of 4G is HSPA+ which is not really 4G so you might see a Blackberry that supports HSPA+. Then again LTE and WiMax aren’t technically 4G either. Hopefully T-Mobile will be releasing a version of the Torch soon. It will be a big mistake if RIM gave AT&T an exclusive on the Torch through the holidays.

    “4G” = HSPA+
    I bet its just a Torch…lameness
I’m Canadian, so it really doesn’t matter to me anyway, but still.
