Today at Qualcomms CES keynote we found out that S4 Snapdragon chipset will come with LTE integration. On the backdrop of OEM’s that Qualcomm is working with RIM was listed. Does this mean that the BlackBerry 10 smartphones will be using a quadcore 1.5GHz processor? We’ve heard rumors this far that have pointed to this and it would seem Qualcomm has gone ahead and confirmed it. Sound off in the comments and stay tuned as we work to find more info!

Maybe for a new playbook tablet. Can’t imagine they jump over dual core to quad core in their handsets. You’re dreaming. Remember the 2009 CES when Flash integration was promised in OS6 browser? I do.

from a BB hardware perspective, this is probably the best news coming out of CES.

Besides that, the BB booth is dead…

It’s not beyond belief that this is exactly what RIM is waiting for. If they know they need to make a splash, they will do it. There is a phone out there that has quadcore, but it’s in it’s early stages.

PlayBook and BB X phones will be running the same exact os. Needing dualcore was stated, and there are dualcore processors out there that are LTE ready. The delay makes sense for this to be very, very true. If RIM pulls this off, they are back in the game in a BIG way.

  5. IS rim running chipsets from them currently?

Now this is what RIM needs to do SHOCK & AWWWWW if this is in any way shape or form true I can see RIM silencing the critics!!! But and its a Big BUT the OS has to be ready no bugs,lags,hour-glass and NO running low on system memory I’m waiting with bated breathe for my crackberry dreams come true

“Snapdragon S4 Processors will take performance to a whole new level. Featuring single, dual and quad CPUs, dual core GPUs, best in class multimedia capabilities, the industry’s only 4G/LTE multimode modem technology intelligently integrated into a single system on chip, Snapdragon S4 Processors will lead in delivering a superior user experience and longer battery life.”

so doesnt mean bb 10 will have quad…. can either be single, dual or quad be nice if it did :p
