BlackBerry PlayBook Makes Up 10% of Indian Tablet Market

blackberry_playbook

India loves BlackBerry! This is why RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook is the third largest competitor in the Indian tablet market, making up 10% of it. Apple’s iPad takes up the first place with 51% market share, and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab is on the second spot with 24%.

After the PlayBook’s prices were dropped, the tablet acquired more presence in the Indian community, making it one of the best low cost tablets and helping it get to 10.4 percent market share. I wouldn’t be surprised to see these numbers grow now, with all the new apps and games being released for the tablet, it only gets better. To our Indian readers, did you get a PlayBook recently? Are planning on getting one? Let us know in the comments below!
