Not too long ago, we reported that BlackBerry would be letting go of 250 research and development staff in the company’s headquarters of Waterloo, Canada.
Along with the PlayBook executive VP, David J. Smith, three more senior executives are leaving BlackBerry:
- Doug Kozak, vice-president, Corporate IT Operations
- Carmine Arabia, senior vice-president, Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain
- Graeme Whittington, vice-president, Service Operations
“We are in the second phase of our transformation plan where we will be assessing our organization – from top to bottom – to ensure we have the right people in the right roles with the right skill sets to drive new opportunities in mobile computing,” said BlackBerry spokeswoman Rebecca Freiburger.
