In a ’5 things you should know’ blog post about the Torch 9850 and 9860, Douglas from RIM announced the carriers to expect the device to hit. “#TeamBlackBerry members in North America will be able to purchase the BlackBerry Torch 9860 smartphone from AT&T, Rogers, Telus and Bell, and the BlackBerry Torch 9850 smartphone from Sprint and U.S. Cellular.”
Does the leaving out of Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile mean they won’t be selling this new slate? I find it hard to believe these carriers would not want this amazing device. We already saw a Verizon hard-branded 9850 floating around. What could have happened? We can only hope that Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile will speak up soon and let us know which BlackBerry 7 devices they’ll be carrying.
