BlackBerry World 4.2.1.109 Now Available for BB10

BlackBerry 10 users have received an update to BlackBerry World. The new version 4.2.1.109 brings improved battery life among the following other changes:

  • SIM switch now clears carrier/country state
  • Carrier/country state now cached for 1h (relevant for roaming)
  • Chucking, GZIp encoded downloads support (SFR, others)
  • Load MyPreloadedItems on initial boot so app state for preloaded apps is displayed properly
  • CPU consumption/heating issue with downloader (battery drain issue)
  • Enhanced downloader logging
  • Fix search for accented characters
  • UpdateTask not reading all register apps
  • Push service not handling apps with hyphen in packageID
  • StoreCover’s featured text appearing over BlackBerry logo
  • Translate “download starting” toast
