Those who are trying to reach global audiences through video for much of the BlackBerry lineup is crucial. Mobile video company, Vuclip, found in their own second quarter 2012 report that many BlackBerry devices made their top 10 list. This may come as a surprise to many North American users who do not understand the still-standing global popularity of BlackBerry.
The top 10 mobile video devices says Vuclip:
As you can see, six BlackBerry devices made the top 10 cut. ”While the iPhone is extremely popular, it may be surprising to those in the U.S. to see the tremendous range and depth of adoption with regard to BlackBerry and Nokia handsets,” says Nickhil Jakatdar, CEO of Vuclip. “Our view is that it is the proliferation of mass market, low-cost smart phones in emerging markets that are impacting the overall adoption of mobile video and driving expectations around the consumers’ experience with it.”
Vulclip’s report is based on data from over 40 million monthly global unique viewers. You can view the second quarter 2012 report here.
