More evidence, aside from a slip-up by a RIM employee during a developers webcast, shows our exclusive on the release of BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 to be correct again. According to the slide, PlayBook OS 2.0 will release at 4:01am on February 21st for everyone in an unknown timezone. The release will coincide with the launch of BlackBerry Bridge 2.0, which will bring the remote control functionality and OpenOn we saw demoed at CES 2012.
BlackBerry Mobile Fusion will also be released on the same day, giving IT professionals the ability to manage all BlackBerry devices from a single interface — with Android and iOS controls coming in March.
