Foursquare 3.0 for BlackBerry coming soon; new build this week

If you’re an avid user of Foursquare, then you might know that your Android and iOS friends will be getting updated to Foursquare 3.0 late tonight. Unfortunately, BlackBerry users will be left in the dark for a little while longer. Nevertheless, Foursquare made sure to mention on their blog that:

“BlackBerry users, we’ll have a new build for you this week as well, but alas, not yet with some of this foursquare 3.0 goodness. The good news is that this latest build has all the pieces in place for us to move a little quicker, so stay tuned!”

Of course, this could mean this week, next week, or a month from now, BUT you’ll at least be getting a new build this week leading up to the 3.0 release. Either way, it is good to know that BlackBerry users will at least get updated to Foursquare 3.0 sometime ‘soon’. The images above aren’t for the BlackBerry version, but they do show off the new explore feature that we’ll see on the BlackBerry version too. The new Foursquare will have a completely revamped leader-board, help you discover more places, a new mayorship system, and much more. For more details on it, check out the Foursquare blog here. Also, make sure you friend us on Foursquare here!
