We first exclusively reported that the much anticipated PlayBook OS 2.0 will release tomorrow. We saw further confirmation in a leaked slide showing it would drop around 4am (of unknown timezone). Personally, I am very excited for its release and hope that the many new features included in it will entice more users to the PlayBook. Nonetheless, we want to know if you too are excited for its release. I mean, who isn’t ready for native email, calendar, contacts and more?!

Well 19 hell yes’s I guess that’s a good indication that people are happy its finally out soon. Now, I just need to decide if I should stay up till 4:01 am to get it and play with it for a little while

It will be the OS that the PlayBook should have released with. It will finally put the PlayBook in better competition with other tablets. The addition of the Android app player will be a huge deal. So, I think it will be a good update, probably not revolutionary, but definitely evolutionary.
OS 2.0 should of been on the playbook when it was first released.
I’m somewhere between Hell yes and No. Closer to Hell yes. I wonder what happened to the rumours BB Bridge updates would drop a couple of days before os2? Not that it matters, just curious.
My guess is that because of the new functionality with Bridge 2.0 and OS 2.0, they are probably releasing them on the same day.

well technically it says “it will be available during the week of February 26th”, not on 26th. So if you take Monday as being begining of the week, then Sunday, February 26 is the end of the week. so technically February 21 is the week that includes February 26, so technically the same week. Just my opinion on this issue

I never understood the bad press coverage about the PlayBook. I actually like to BlackBerry Bridge solution and find it secure, fast and very convenient.
It is great to see that so many are excited about it and I will certainly download 2.0 as well. But I gess I am less enthusiastic than others because I like to PlayBook already. I think it is a great device – probably the best on the market – and I hope the keyboard will be available soon. That would give a great supplement to a BlackBerry.

It’s an Okay Tablet. But so much of the innovations was steoln from other companies. You can see bits and pieces of other tablets in the Playbook. The HP TouchPad/iPad/Android Tablet OS. And It doesn’t even have a Mail App!! I mean not everyone has a BlackBerry. The more popular smartphones are from Apple and Android.
Yeah I’m hyped. I put off jailbreaking because I want to give RIM a chance, hope it pays off.

How stable is the Playbook O/s? I had a kbrccreary a couple of years ago and it froze/crashed etc constantly. I hated it. I do want a tablet and thought a Nook Tablet was the way to go but it’s too locked out of apps and the latest update means no more rooting etc. HELP! I am not an Amazon Prime member and I will not be becoming one. Is there a date book app sort of thing on the Playbook? What about weather?
