RIM Hands Out BlackBerry Arduino Devices at Jam Americas
At BlackBerry Jam Americas, developers who filled out a survey about their experience at the conference have been given Arduino electrical circuit boards for open source prototyping. The Arduino boards are do-it-yourself boards for build any type of electronic device, from robots to light shows. With a USB input and a power connection, you can connect it to the computer and program it to control electronics for pretty much any purpose you can dream of.
The device may enable third-party developers to develop coupled hardware and software solutions potentially with BlackBerry 10 or other platforms.
Giving out free stuff to developers is not new to the BlackBerry marker, who is focused on its new BlackBerry 10 operating system.
BlackBerry Jam Americas is RIM’s effort draw in mobile developers from around North America to create the best applications for the upcoming BlackBerry 10 platform.
