How to Set Up Email on a BlackBerry Smartphone in 3 Easy Steps

BlackBerry smartphones are known as excellent tools to handle email while on the go.  To set up email on your BlackBerry, your best friend is the Email Setup Wizard.

Step 1:

Open up the “Email Setup Wizard” by searching for it.  In older BlackBerrys, you can find it in the options menu as well.

Select “Email Setup Application”.

Step 2: 

Select “Add another email address”.

Step 3:

If you have a Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, MSN or AOL email address, the process is super easy.  Just type in your email address and your password.  Then press Continue.

If you have an “other” email address.  You’ll have to put in the names of the incoming and outgoing email servers.  Contact the company that hosts your email address for this.  For example, for the Canadian carrier “Rogers”, the incoming mail server is  “pop.broadband.rogers.com” and the outgoing one is “smtp.broadband.rogers.com”.  For other email addresses, the names should be similar.

The login information will be processed and verified.

The activation will complete if the login information is correct.

Within a few minutes, you should receive an email saying that your email is successfully set up.  And that’s it!
