Stranger Things Sticker Pack

“Stranger Things” was one of 2016’s strangest things. Practically the serialized lovechild of Steven Spielberg and Stephen King, it tells the tale of a young boy who goes missing, his friends who go looking for him, and an evil government agency trying to cover the whole thing up. It’s beautiful, it’s nostalgic and it deserves every bit of buzz it’s been receiving. Google and Netflix teamed up for a special “Stranger Things” Scavenger Hunt which was used as a promotional tool for Google’s new phone, Google Allo, which has since launched. Google and Netflix have now teamed up once again and are bringing a “Stranger Things” themed sticker pack to your app store and one of its key features is adding ‘stickers with words’ to texts in a chat.

Sticker Pack

There are a total of 24 stickers in the pack. The stickers are absolutely aimed at kids, and you can tell just by looking at them. The stickers feature most or all of the show’s lead characters, complete with the Demogorgon and Dungeons & Dungeons dice. Not bad, eh? The Stickers are available now on both Android and iOS, so be sure to download them a soon as possible, if you’re a fan or if you’re just a curious newcomer.

Google launched the Allo earlier this year and it’s quite a little oddity. It comes with a ‘virtual assistant” and a special feature that allows users to reply to someone without typing. The phone itself seems really great and the cross-promotion with Netflix is a neat idea which I’m sure benefits them both greatly. If you haven’t been paying attention to Stranger Things that much, go on Netflix right now and gulp it down. Season 2 begins in a few months and I hope we get more of these types of promotions for newer shows as well, in the future.
