TAT Shows Off Incredible Document Sharing App on the BlackBerry PlayBook (Videos)
The 2012 Mobile World Congress(MWC) is in full swing today, as The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) demos an impressive document sharing app on the PlayBook. With multiple PlayBooks on a table, each PlayBook knows the location of all the other PlayBooks. By bringing two PlayBooks closer together, they enter a sharing mode which enables a seamless transfer of a presenation or file from one tablet to another. With a single “power” swipe, the presentation can be displayed on an external display. By placing all the PlayBooks together, a single image is shared, extending the experience beyond the 7″ screen of the PlayBook.
RIM’s purchase of TAT, a software company which develops user interface software, was to bring impressive user interfaces to the PlayBook and the future BB10 platform. The Cascades UI software will allow developers to easily create natural and sophisticated animations to apps on RIM’s new QNX-based platform.
