Mercedes UK has officially announced the pricing for the 2016 Mercedes AMG SL 63, and it starts at £114,100. Pricing for other models in the SL range, including the AMG SL 65, have also been announced.
The SL 63 is a two-door coupe, which has a BitTurbo 5.5 liter V8 that produces 585 hp and insane amount of torque. It can do 0-62 mph in about 4.1 seconds. As for laying all the power to the wheels and on to the road, a Speedshift MCT 7-speed automatic in included.
The car comes with AMG parts such as high performance brakes, Dynamic Select, Napa leather steering wheel, Sports exhaust system, sports suspension, and AMG branding all over.
Other models in the SL range include, the SL 400, SL 500 and the SL 65 (AMG). The SL 400 features a 4 liter V6 engine that makes 361 hp, whereas the SL 500 has a 5.5 liter V8 that produces 450 hp. Both the 400 and 500 feature the new Mercedes 9G-Tronic Plus gearbox
The AMG SL 65 has a a 6 liter V12 engine that produces a whopping 621 hp and can do 0 -62 mph in just 4 seconds.
All the models come with Apple CarPlay, Parking Pilot, 18 inch allows, Attention Assist, Active Bonnet, Active Brake Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, and other features.
You can upgrade to 19 inch AMG alloys on the SL 400 and 500 by purchasing the Night Package. On the AMG SL 63 and SL 65, you get 20 inch wheels plus diffuser trim, front splitter and mirror housings. All these will obviously cost some extra money.
There’s also a £2,730 Luxury Package that includes Harman Kardon Logic 7 music system, Active Body Control, Active Multicontour Seats, seat heating and ventilation and power closing for the doors and the boot lid.
The SL 400 will start at £73,805, the SL 500 at £82,155 and a new SL 400 Edition model made for the UK will cost you £74,995.
