In August, BlackBerry launched the new brand campaign around the concept of “Action Starts Here”. For the past 3 months, BlackBerry has been inviting locals to join the revolutionary digital campaign by taking action, realizing their dreams and making their world a better place. Consumers were challenged to set a goal, make and complete the pledge via BlackBerry Thailand Facebook page. The activity was held from 21 August – 15 October 2012.
To date, the activity on BlackBerry Thailand Facebook page has ended successfully with more than 1,000 pledges and 7,500 votes. The three winners who earned the most votes were Tonkla-Tonnum, White We Love the King and Anong Sukon. While, the top 5 topics that participants pledged about are in the areas of Love, Friendship, Travel, Career and Fitness.
As a result of this competition, the winners won BlackBerry smartphones, BlackBerry PlayBook and other prizes.

RIM Sponsors A-Chieve Shadow Program
Research In Motion (RIM) is supporting students in Bangkok by sponsoring the A-Chieve Shadow Program.
RIM provided a monetary sponsorship for the program and device donations for the program’s Student Video Competition.
A-Chieve is a private organization which helps Thai teenagers get on the right track towards their dream career by providing workshops and internships in the field that the students are interested in.
By doing so, students in the program are able to experience working in real-life environments and gain hands-on practice. Participants gain inspiration by talking with role models during the workshop and their personal mentors during the internship period. They are also required to share their experiences with fellow students through a video they produce. The six winners from the Video Competition each received a BlackBerry Curve 9320 as prizes.
