Amazon made some changes to their Prime membership benefits, and some of you might not love this one. Members will now be able to share their Prime membership with only one adult, instead of four.

This new policy, introduced last week, states that in order to share your Amazon Prime membership, both users have to share their credit and debit card payment details. You will have access to the other person’s cards, and the other person will have access to yours. And yes, it is mandatory.

It will not affect your or the other users’ payment settings, default payment methods or anything, but all cards will be available for all users.

With this new move, Amazon is clearly stating that the Prime sharing is meant for partners of a same household, not your friends and splitting the fee. They found a very good way to put a stop to that, didn’t they? Share your thoughts on this policy in the comments below!
