Apple’s first extra large phablet has just been released as the iPhone 6 Plus. In typical Apple form, the iPhone 6 Plus is late to the specs race. You’ll find 1GB RAM, 1080 x 1920 resolution at 5.5 inches (~401 ppi pixel density) LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen, 8MP rear camera, and their proprietary A8 chipset with Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based) CPU.

How does the iPhone 6 Plus compare to BlackBerry’s latest all-touch devices? Both the BlackBerry Z30 and Z3 sport a 5 inch touchscreen. Perhaps, the standard iPhone 6 model (with its 4.7 inch touchscreen) would be a closer competitor. Though, I had to “go big or go home” and get the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus anyways.

The iPhone 6 Plus may be Apple’s last biggest touchscreen offering. And who knows, 5 inch all-touch devices might be the largest BlackBerry ever plans to have offered. Nevertheless, it’s great to see the competing phones stacked next to each other. Check it out in the video above.
