Audi has released a teaser image of their E-Tron Quattro concept vehicle ahead of the Frankfurt Motor show, and it looks fantastic. Audi touts a 318 mile range with the technology in their all electric SUV concept. Driven by three electric motors, two at the rear, it can manipulate torque vectoring across the real wheels as many Audis have in the past before it.
Audi also claims a drag coefficient of 0.25, which is very slippery even by sports car standards. In an SUV, that’s fantastic. They achieve this by some design tweaks, lowering the roof lines for one, and by smoothing the underside. While just a concept for now, Audi says the technology on display in the E-Tron Quattro is actually headed for an all electric SUV sometime in 2018.
