BlackBerry is serious about BBM and pleasing its customers. It’s a big week for BBM news, what with eBBM, stickers in the BBM Shop, and the eventual release to Windows Phone and the Nokia X (which could be a very big deal). The smart phone maker isn’t stopping there and has let out a few details on what will be included in the next release of the messaging platform.

Jeff Gadway, the head of product and brand marketing for BBM, published a blog post this Friday where he said he’s seen the feedback from BBM users and is taking it all in so he can improve the app.

A few of the things that you can expect in the next release of BBM are listed below.

  • Slightly larger emoticons.
  • The ability to share pictures in multi-person chats.
  • The size of files you can share in BBM will increase from 6MB to 16MB. (We touched on this briefly yesterday.)

Gadway says he’s listening to suggestions and makes an open invite for anyone to toss a few of them his way in the BlackBerry Support page.

There’s no word yet on when that actual release will be, however it’s still wonderful news to see that the company is listening to the feedback from its customers. Stay glued to N4BB for all the latest on this story!

We’d love to hear what features you’d like to see added to BBM. Join the conversation in the UMG Forums!
