This afternoon, we received an email from the BBM team letting us know that a new beta would be arriving this week for testers. The email didn’t specify any operating system, so we’re going to assume BlackBerry 10, Android and iOS are included at least (A new BBM for Windows Phone beta was launched today but has different updates).

According to the BBM dev team, with this new beta brings some exciting new features and “a real focus has been made to help you connect and develop your network on BBM.” Also mentioned in the email is the fact that “Timed and Retracted Messages” will be turning into a subscription based system that will be found in the BBM Shop in this next release. No price was specified but we’re assuming that’ll be known soon enough. Those that choose to skip that subscription “will be able to Retract a maximum of 3 Messages and send a maximum of 3 Timed Messages.”

If you’re a beta tester for BBM, be on the look out for an update beta program with a new download to test this week.

What other features would you like to see come to BBM? Let us know in the comments.
