Sources have allegedly told Cantech Letter that the BlackBerry 10 operating system will be debuted in May at BlackBerry World. According to the report, we’ll supposedly even see devices running BlackBerry 10. If so, it would be interesting to see if the devices are behind glass like the PlayBook, when unveiled at DevCon.
They continue on to describe that the “move to launch at BlackBerry World comes after the Waterloo mobile giant was relatively quiet at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Cantech Letter’s sources say the debut of the BlackBerry 10 phones is part of a larger, more long-term effort to release products at its own BlackBerry World conference.”
From what we’ve heard and seen with the leaked slides of its UI, we know that RIM has been diligently working hard on BlackBerry 10. Unveiling BlackBerry 10 at BlackBerry World may help bolster analyst faith in the company by showing that the company is on track. Nevertheless, take this news with a grain of salt until further proof is revealed.
