We briefly touched on this when we announced the first details on the upcoming M-Series (slider). Research In Motion will be making a 720 by xxxx resolution the new standard for the rest of BlackBerry 10 products. However, that is after the L-Series releases. Here’s a breakdown of the upcoming screen resolutions:
- L-Series: 768 x 1280
- N-Series: 720 x 720 (1:1)
- M-Series: 720 x 1280 (16:9)
It isn’t quite clear why RIM has decided to make the L-Series the only device with the higher resolution, but from there on out 720 ‘is the new normal’. What do you think of this change? Is 720 and adequate screen resolution?
