CES 2015 is in full gear, and while QNX has already had a tremendous event with a few great partnerships and milestones reached, its parent company has been relatively quiet so far. BlackBerry’s turn to make some news will come tomorrow morning around 8am PST (Wednesday, January 7th) when CEO John Chen speaks at breakfast and goes over what we can expect from the company in this new year.
We can expect Chen to go over a couple of things tomorrow, including BBM and Project Ion. During last month’s earning’s call, BlackBerry’s CEO let us know that the company would give us a look at the BBM roadmap as part of the company’s IoT roadmap during this event, so that’s pretty much etched in stone.
While any new hardware or device news will probably be held back until Mobile World Congress in March, I wouldn’t be surprised if Chen drops a hint or two about what’s in store for the future in that area as well.
There’s no live stream, or anything like that, for when Chen gives his remarks, but we will be sure to report any and all announcements made, so make sure you keep it locked to N4BB!
