BlackBerry is currently working on a new iteration of the BlackBerry Passport. Initially, the silver-clad Passport was codenamed “Oslo,” but has since been renamed the “Dallas.”

In our original report, we noted the model number was SQW100-4 and its release wasn’t China-only (contrary to what others reported).


New evidence of the upcoming Passport seeding throughout the APAC region comes from OurBerries. BlackBerry device model SQW100-4 has been approved for carriers in Malaysia:

The BlackBerry “Dallas” will feature similar radio bands and the same specs as the current BlackBerry Passport. Expect the “Dallas” to have¬†2.2GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM, 3,450mAh capacity battery, and 13MP OIS rear-camera.
