BlackBerry has officially filed a second lawsuit against Typo Products. BlackBerry alledges its second Typo keyboard case also infringes on the company’s patents.

BlackBerry has already won an injunction against Typo for its original case which yielded over $860,000 awarded in damages.

Typo believed this second keyboard/case would work out better for them after they claimed to have designed it after the iOS keyboard. Apparently BlackBerry does not agree.

“Just as they did with the Typo Keyboard, defendants have again copied numerous proprietary BlackBerry designs and patents in the Typo2 Keyboard,” BlackBerry states in the lawsuit. The company is seeking an injunction on the Typo 2 which would prohibit sales, as well as monetary damages.
