The BlackBerry for Business Blog recently published a post in which they make a defense for their superior mobile security standards in comparison to the competition.

The post lays out a retaliation against Good Technology, a rival company that stated that several of their customers were contacting them and claiming that BlackBerry did not offer support for any other devices besides there own.

BB CEO John Chen went on the defensive instantly by saying, “BlackBerry has provided multi-platform OS management for nearly 2 years now, so let’s put that to rest.” While Good Technology boasts to have customers in 50 of the Fortune 100 business, Chen believes that the over 30,000 new BES servers installed in 2013 is a much more impressive number.

BlackBerry goes on to list the innovations that they are making in the mobility and security business, including the recently announced eBBM, that further proves that they are not quitting without a fight.

The article ends with Chen assuring that customers will always get what they expect from BlackBerry.

“We’re fully transparent with our customers about what they get from us; our new pricing structure is crystal clear and most importantly, unlike other companies, when we say something is free, we mean that it’s free.”
