Another day, another BlackBerry executive to leave the company. Just a few days ago it was reported that Andrew Bocking, Executive Vice President of BBM, had left the company.
Now, perhaps a crucial player in BlackBerry CEO John Chen’s plan for an enterprise focus, has left the company. Peter Devenyi, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Software, has departed in order to pursue another opportunity.
Peter Devenyi had worked at BlackBerry for nearly 9 years. Devenyi’s LinkedIn profile shows that he is now the Vice President of Global Software Development at Dematic North America, which says the company is a global leader in providing intelligent logistics and materials handling solutions.
BlackBerry bleeding its executives makes for an interesting outlook. Chen has migrated some of his former Sybase executives. However, with current executives from the “inner circle” dropping out, what does it say about the future and direction of BlackBerry?
