Pricing can be the make it or break it point for anyone looking to buy a smartphone. With this in mind, BlackBerry has to be able to price the upcoming Passport within a reasonable range. This morning, the WSJ confirmed via BlackBerry CEO John Chen that the Passport will cost $599 off-contract. This would be putting the Passport in a very good range with competitive devices like LG’s G3 ($549.99) and a lot cheaper than Samsung’s S5 ($649) or HTC’s M8 ($699).
Aside from outing the price of their upcoming device, BlackBerry’s CEO mentioned the Passport will be available “immediately” on Wednesday in some stores, while others will get it in one to two weeks.
