BlackBerry recently released BBM Protected to BlackBerry devices featuring Balance. However, the plans to extend BBM Protected to more smartphones than just BlackBerry.
BBM Protected will begin spreading across multiple platforms, in similar fashion to the standard BBM. BlackBerry plans to charge an annual fee of $30 (Rs 1,830), BlackBerry India MD, Sunil Lalwani said. “No date has been fixed, but it will happen soon,” Lalwani added.
The recently launched eBBM Suite, which brings together the convenience and usability of BBM with the additional security and compliance required by enterprise customers.
Lalwani also confirmed the PassPort and Classic devices will release within the next two months. “We have received tremendous inputs from youth segment, seeking QWERTY phones,” said Lalawani.
