RIM has shipped some 700,000 BlackBerry PlayBook’s since its launch. Although, that number is units shipped and not sold. TELUS seems to feel the PlayBook is meeting its expectations and have thrown it on the “to be discontinued” list. However, this is only listed for the 16GB and not other variations.

The leaked slide shows the last day to have purchased a 16GB PlayBook was on October 10th (obviously passed that now). But returns are still able to be made until November 8th. The discontinuation date is blank, so we’re not sure when that might be. Perhaps TELUS is making room for the 4G PlayBook or simply getting rid of an underwhelming tablet?
