BlackBerry recently promoted one of its own, Adam Emery. The new position was granted to Emery in October, which puts him as the company’s VP of corporate communications.
Emery will still report to BlackBerry’s communications SVP Heidi Davidson. However, Emery is taking over Davidson’s global comms responsibilities as she begins to oversee brand and digital at the company.
All regional PR teams in Asia-Pacific, EMEA, Latin America, and North America have begun reporting to Emery. BlackBerry saw Emery join the company in October 2012, where he served as the company’s VP of North American communications.
Before coming to BlackBerry, Emery was SVP and lead of Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ New York technology practice. Prior to that, he was Waggener Edstrom’s corporate practice lead. Emery was also a communications manager at IBM, according to his LinkedIn profile.
