We’ve learned that BlackBerry has officially been named as the recipient of the Corporate Branding PRWeek Global Award.

The awards from PRWeek were announced at a ceremony yesterday in the UK, where finalists were honored for “transformative PR work that crosses borders.”

BlackBerry specifically won via the title, “Transforming BlackBerry: From Relic to Relevant.”

The competitors BlackBerry faced included: Accenture, Edelman Japan for Power Japan Plus, G&S Business Communications for Syngenta, MSLGroup for PayPal, and Weber Shandwick for Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX).
