BlackBerry Z10 Production Costs Revealed

We’ve seen teardowns of the BlackBerry Z10, but what does it cost for those parts? As seen in the teardown of the Z10 it features very similar parts of the Samsung Galaxy S3.

After all is said and done the BlackBerry Z10’s total production cost is $154, which is slightly higher than the iPhone 5. Though, the Z10 does use better specced parts than the iPhone 5.

Here’s the breakdown of the Z10 production costs:

  • Processor $23.50
  • Touchscreen $26.50
  • Cameras $15.00
  • Flash storage (16GB) $9.00
  • Other components $ 21.00
  • Remaining major materials $ 59.00
