BlackBerry hosted an Enterprise event today to unveil BES 12. The new BlackBerry Enterprise Service 12 will bring a host of new features, including a new subscription pricing structure.

Currently, Enterprises can make use of BES 10 through a Silver or Gold license pricing with optional T-Support. Today’s pricing model looks like:

  • Silver – $19/year, $38 perpetual
  • Gold – $60/year, $120 perpetual

However, BlackBerry is discontinuing the perpetual pricing with BES 12. The new subscription model will strictly be annual, with the once optional T-Support now automatically included. Furthermore, there will only be two pricing schemes per package.

The new BES 12 subscription model looks like:

  • Silver – $23/year Advantage plan, $40/year Premium plan
  • Gold – $72/year Advantage plan, $90/year Premium plan

BES 12 annual subscriptions for BBOS 7 devices is also available at $23/year and $40/year. Premium Support requires a minimum order quantity of 2,500 devices to waive annual program fee.

Customers who have existing deployments will be able to use EZ Pass to upgrade existing BES 5 to BES12 perpetual licenses for free. However, the EZ Pass program ends on January 31st, 2015.
