BlackBerry’s biggest event of 2014 will be starting in less than two hours, and if you’re wondering whether or not you should tune in to the live stream broadcast of it, well this is where we convince you to do so.

The Passport

The headline for this event is without a doubt the BlackBerry Passport. It’s been leaked, unofficially unveiled already, given a name, a price, but there still may be some surprises about this beautiful device that BlackBerry hasn’t talked about already.

We’ll get carrier pricing, availability dates for the Passport, for sure. This way at least we can put another date down on our calendar for when we will be able to get our hands on it.

BlackBerry 10 OS 10.3

Icon UI

BlackBerry’s latest iteration of their powerful mobile OS will definitely make an appearance during today’s event. The already launched P’9983 has 10.3, and the Passport will making its debut with it on board as well.

It’s important to remember that BlackBerry 10.3 will not be making its way to current in-market devices. We cleared up that confusion way back in May when BlackBerry first talked about it. Instead, current BlackBerry 10 owners have OS 10.3.1 to look forward to by the end of the year. We may see BlackBerry give us a sneak peek at this upcoming update, but don’t get your hopes up too high.

BlackBerry Blend

BlackBerry has kept a tight lid on Blend for a while. This event looks to be the perfect opportunity to get it all out, and show off a new way for business elites to keep their messaging needs flowing constantly across multiple devices. We don’t know a ton about Blend, but we got a good feeling about it popping up today.

BlackBerry Classic

While it’s not the star of today’s event, BlackBerry CEO John Chen tends to be a little unpredictable at times, so we wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted to talk more about the Classic and maybe even show it off a little in a demo or two. The Classic isn’t due out until November of this year, but heck, it’s possible, right?

I’m not really sure how much in terms of surprises we may get, to be honest. I’m hoping I’m wrong though, and we get a couple of wow moments throughout the event today. Make sure you follow us along on Twitter (@N4_BB) as we’ll be live tweeting the event along with countless other fans using the hashtag #BlackBerryPassport.
