The second coming of the Porsche Design BlackBerry (the P’9982), an upscale high priced luxury device for many, has just rolled through the FCC primed and ready for use on AT&Ts LTE/HSPA network. While the majority of P’9981 QWERTY devices were sold over seas, this device seems to have been built with North America in mind. While rumors speculate the device to launch in late November, it’s currently unclear as to when and where this glossed up Z10 will be available for purchase. Though we could guess US Porsche Design retail locations.

Having written off nearly a billion dollars on Z10 inventory, reviving it for the Porsche design chassis may not ignite many sales for the device–especially if priced near the $2,000 mark like its predecessor. Hopefully if this device does come to term it will sport some upgraded internals making it worth a second look. Or maybe some UI changes away from the standard BB10 layout.  May have been a better fit to dress up a Z30 or a Q10 with the Porsche aesthetic, but I digress.
