Blaq 1.4.1 is now available in BlackBerry World and it fixes a few major issues some users were having with the latest 1.4 update. According to a post by Jerome Carty, Kisai Labs is “aware of issues customers have been facing with the 1.4 release (battery drain, slowdowns, odd crashes) and have tracked down a majority of the bugs.”

The release also brings:

  • A logging tool is now available. Please use this tool (Settings > Advanced > Send Logs) to send information to us to help fix crashes, slowdowns, battery drain or other issues we can’t always catch in beta.
  • There is a display bug with unicode characters when Hold place in Timeline is turned on. We’re working on it. The workaround is to turn off Hold Place in Timeline in Account Settings.
  • This was pushed to help us track down larger issues so there will be another release in the next week or two.
