Early this morning, the third-party browser BOLT was updated to 1.7. With the update, the browser now supports widgets, keyboard shortcuts for zooming and moving throughout the page, Twitter integration, and as always, fast browsing.

The widgets of 1.7 seem to be the most talked about feature included in the update. At download, it only contains 9 “Web Apps” but more are promised to be added. Two of those being dedicated Twitter apps. The apps are Wikipedia, a weather app, Dictionary.com, Bing Search, BOLT Forum, and a calculator and calender. For BOLT 1.7, go to boltbrowser.com from your device and download.

The apps/widgets do not seem to slow down the browser at all and the actual size of each individual widget is small so no drag on Blackberry devices or other phones.
