Well that was quick! We just reported that the BlackBerry Q10 was available, and I’m already seeing some news online that says the BlackBerry Q10 sold out at the UK based department store, Selfridges, in a matter of 90 minutes! I don’t know about you, but that’s pretty stellar news!

We were emailed this report by the kindly folks over at Seeking Alpha, who state that 2000 units were sold in only 90 minutes time. People were apparently walking in to the store and buying devices by the dozens, with employees bringing out baskets full of Q10s every few minutes to keep up with the sharp demand.

The only reason people would go in to the store to purchase such vast quantities of the device would be so they can turn around an resell it, but the fact that the writer of the article claims that he has not seen that kind of excitement since the first two generations of the iPhone, and that the store manager had never seen anything like it, shows that demand for the first BlackBerry 10 Qwerty device is a lot higher than even I figured it was!

Here’s hoping a fraction of that excitement finds its way to all other parts of the world when the phone is more widely released!
