Crystal BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha Award Given to Developer

Over the weekend RIM held its last Port-A-Thon. Developers had the opportunity to win a special award for answering a trivia question. The winner, Brian Scheirer, was awarded a crystal BlackBerry Dev Alpha.

Though it wasn’t a real Dev Alpha device, the “crystallized” version looks quite cool. The Port-A-Thon saw just over 19,000 apps submitted in 36hrs. This should put BlackBerry 10’s app catalogue at well over 70,000 apps at launch.
