Microsoft gave the tech world a surprise yesterday with the announcement the company had acquired much of Nokia in a $7.2 Billion deal.

Word on the the street from analysts painted a dire picture. Microsoft allegedly acquired Nokia in fear that the company was about to ditch making Windows phones.

Despite acquiring Nokia, it might not allow Microsoft to make headway in the mobile space, according to a Bloomberg report. Microsoft is said to be ‘keeping an eye’ on BlackBerry, claim sources.

BlackBerry’s strong presence in enterprise could still attract Microsoft to subsets of the company. Microsoft certainly has the cash to blow, but would they be the right suitors for buying parts of BlackBerry?
