Many have wondered if taking the recently launched Android APK and converting it to a compatible BlackBerry 10 .BAR file would allow you to run a secondary account.

However, that theory hasn’t proved true. BlackBerry 10 apparently searches for and then makes null any duplicates. I was pondering what else one could use with the BBM APK. Perhaps repackaging the Android .APK into a compatible Gingerbread version and swapping any newer APIs could potentially get the Android version working on the PlayBook?

Well, a developer had a similar idea, except to make multiple installations of BBM on Android. The XDA developer member apparently modified the BBM APK to allow for a secondary installation, which allowed him to run two BBM accounts simultaneously. Check it out in the video below:
