I came across this little game the other day via a recommendation and decided to give it a download. I was intrigued by the 8-bit graphics and wanted to see what else the game had to offer. I was not disappointed.
What is it?
Squiggle Racer is an old school racing game that consists of you going around the racetrack and building up your score. There are four different tracks to choose from, each one more infuriatingly fun than the last.
This game is similar to the infamous Flappy Bird in that it should be easy yet it’s not. In fact, it’s very hard. I’ll give it tons of credit for not just being another Flappy Bird clone. Instead of tapping the screen to avoid pipes, you tap either a left or right arrow on the screen to steer your racecar.
Sounds easy right? Well it’s not. Good luck.
Did I mention it’s hard? Very hard. So hard, in fact, that I spent about an hour trying to finish jut one lap. For me, this is infuriating and frustrating. I know that is the reason for this type of game’s success, but for me, it’s my reason for throwing my phone out the window and randomly taking a sledgehammer to the nearest racecar.
I think everyone should give it a download just to give it a try and see how incredibly frustrating and fun it is. You can search for it in your Android app store of choice, like Snap or 1Mobile or if you have an Android device, check it out here in Google Play.
