Facebook posted its earnings report today, and we learned some interesting statistics about how users are accessing the world’s biggest social network this past quarter.
According to Facebook, over half a billion users (526 million), out of a total 1.39 billion that accessed the site, were solely using it on their mobile device. This is an increase of 26% year-over-year for the company. This number includes users that use Facebook’s apps and/or its mobile website, but does not include any numbers from Instagram or WhatsApp.
This figure is specially staggering considering “the push for mobile” was supposed to be a struggle for Facebook during these past couple of years. For all the complaints most of us can have about the social network, it seems it’s only getting more and more popular with every passing quarter.
