Far Cry Primal
With only one week left until Far Cry Primal is released Ubisoft have given players a new trailer and some news about a pre-order bonus. These days it’s very common for games to have at least one pre-order bonus, or in some cases many. This is the perfect way to ensure you get as many pre-orders as you possibly can, and Far Cry Primal is staying faithful to this current trend with the announcement of the ‘Legend of the Mammoth’ pre-order bonus.
This DLC will give the player the ability to become a Mammoth, no you didn’t read that wrong, become a Mammoth. In Far Cry Primal you’ll be able to ride baby mammoths and saber-tooth tigers, but a mammoth is the only animal in the game that it seems you will be unable to tame. So what do you do when you can’t tame an animal… You drink a weird bloody drink and become that animal, obviously.
As well a whole load of mammoth filled carnage, you will get three story missions in which you’ll fight against the ‘Udam’ tribe. Although humans won’t be your only enemies throughout the DLC, as the trailer below shows your mammoth character locking horns with a rhino. Far Cry games have always gone above and beyond what most would consider to be the norm of a first person shooter, but it’s safe to say Ubisoft have gone in a whole new direction with this new version.

The Far Cry series has definitely built up a strong fan-base following the success of last two titles, so it will be interesting to see what reaction is gained from the new pre-historic first-person
shooter spear thrower. Especially when you add the ability to become a mammoth into the mix.
Far Cry Primal will be released on February 23rd for PS4 and Xbox One, and March 1st on PC.
