Fitbit Charge 2: More powerful than ever before
Among the two newest models in Fitbit’s power fitness tracking line is the Fitbit Charge 2, and it’s undeniably one of the most anticipated fitness tracking devices thus far.
Charge 2 is technically the third model under Fitbit’s Charge line, following the likes of Charge, and Charge HR.
But while there are only minor, seemingly unnoticeable differences between the Charge and the Charge HR, the same can not be said of Fitbit’s Charge 2.
With the Charge 2, Fitbit went all out for you.
While the previous Charge models gave users no choice but to stick with whatever wristband they’re devices came with, Fitbit fans will be happy to know that the Charge 2 comes with an interchangeable band feature.
Match your outfit with the Charge 2 wristband of your choice, change straps as often as you’d like, and choose from the many accessories that you can buy along with this device.
Though it’s undeniable that there are a lot of well-appreciated upgrades and changes made on the Fitbit Charge 2, it’s hard to turn a blind eye to the fact that its screen is still in plain black and white.Check on Amazon
Sure, the Charge 2 is no smartwatch, but the features it comes with definitely makes this device nearly as (if not just as) smart as half all the smartwatches out in the market today. A little bit of color added to the screen surely won’t hurt the device.
With that said, Fitbit did take the liberty to add a tap display feature to its OLED screen, which should make navigation a tad bit easier for Charge 2 users.
PurePulse Heart Rate
With Fitbit Charge 2’s PurePulse Heart Rate, users get to enjoy the benefits that come with continuous heart rate monitoring without having to deal with the hassle of putting up with a chest strap.
This admirable heart rate monitor feature of the Charge 2 allows users to better track the calories they burn, maximize workout sessions, as well as get a clearer picture of some of their health information.
All-Day Activity Tracking
This feature of the Fitbit Charge 2 is what gets all of the jobs done.
With this feature, users will be able to Track active minutes, calories burned, distance traveled, floors climbed, hourly activities, and steps taken.
Reminders to Move
Everyone is encouraged to take about 250 steps an hour in order to stay fit, and the Charge 2 is equipped with Reminders to Move to remind you of that.
Auto Sleep Tracking
Because the importance of sleeping is largely neglected by the generations of today, Charge 2 has been equipped by its makers the ability to track both the duration and the quality of its user’s sleep, to help the user practice ideal sleeping habits.
In line with its goal to help its user achieve ideal sleeping goals, Charge 2 is also equipped with Silent Alarm, which gently wakes the user up at the time it deems best for him (or her) to wake up.
Users can also create a sleep schedule on the Fitbit app to make achieving ideal sleeping goals easier.
One of the most impressive features of the Charge 2 is its ability to track specific exercises of its users, making it easier for everyone to see their workout stats on the device’s display.
To prove that it takes fitness tracking very seriously, Fitbit has added a feature that further enhances the services the device already renders. With this feature, users can view a map of their route after workout, as well as real-time stats such as distance and pace — right on their wrists.
Forgot to log a workout? All your hard work will no longer be put to waste even if you forget telling your Fitbit to start tracking. With this feature, the Charge 2 automatically records activities like biking, hiking, and other sports — giving credit where credit is due.
Guided Breathing Sessions
Breathing has everything to do with relaxing.
With this impressive feature of the Fitbit Charge 2, users can have guided breathing sessions based on their real-time heart rate.
Unlike all the models before it, Charge 2 is equipped with a feature that allows users to receive notifications not just of their incoming calls and text messages, but of their upcoming calendar events as well.
The Fitbit Charge 2 can go as long as five full days without the need for the occasional charging.
As expected, the Charge 2 is packed with features that brings a whole new level of fitness tracking. At $150, this smart fitness tracker is definitely something worth getting.
