Flixster Updated for Q10 Support, Adds BBM Integration

Flixster Updated for Q10 Support, Adds BBM Integration

If you’re anything like me, then you love to spend as much time as socially acceptable at a movie theater watching the latest flick. I pretty much enjoy everything, from action, to comedy, and even a well done musical from time to time. BlackBerry 10 has a great app that was updated today with two major features that will greatly improve what BlackBerry users think about it. That app is Flixster.

If you’re not familiar with Flixster, you can use it to look up movie descriptions, showtimes at local theaters (based on GPS location or by specific search), and even view trailers of the film. The app is coupled with Rotten Tomatoes, so you can find out what critics and viewers think of it based on it’s Tomatometer Rating.

The new update bring Flixster to version 1.0.0.7 and adds support for the upcoming Q10, as well as BBM Integration. I updated the app and tested out the BBM connectivity, and it essentially lets you share the information about the movie. It sends your contact a link to Flixster’s page on the movie, as well as a link to download the app itself.

Speaking of downloading, head on over to BlackBerry World and get Flixster for free if you don’t have it already. If you do have it, get the upgrade and shoot me a BBM of the movie you’ll be watching this weekend!
