BlackBerry’s former boss, Thorsten Heins is back in the news today as he’s getting ready to take the helm at Powermat Technologies from founder Ran Poliakine. The move comes after a dispute within the board over the direction of the company with specific regards to leadership.
Heins is still in talks with Powermat as the contract is being finalized. Bloomberg is reporting one of his first actions would be to move the company headquarters from Israel over to the U.S. “My role is about growing it to scale and making it a global leading technology company,” said Heins.
Thorsten Heins was BlackBerry’s CEO from January 2012 through November 2013.
