Google’s event took place today in San Francisco, and as expected they announced the new Nexus devices, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, along with some other good stuff.
The new Nexus 5X, manufactured by LG, is the smaller of the two devices. Comes with a 5.2 inch IPS LCD display that’s fingerprint and smudge resistant. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 1.8GHz hexa-core 64 bit with 2GB of RAM.
Photography enthusiasts might be pleased with the 12.3MP, f/2.0 primary camera that records 4K videos, and a 5MP front camera. It comes in 16GB and 32GB variants and packs the new micro USB type C. The 2700mAh battery should be enough to get the average user through the day.
On the other hand, the bigger Nexus 6P comes from Huawei. It has a 5.7 inch WQHD AMOLED screen. Under the hood you’ll find a Snapdragon 810, 2.0GHz octa-core 64bit with 3GB of RAM.
This one comes in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants, also packs micro USB type C and has a 12.3MP primary camera, with a 8MP front camera. The battery on this one is huge, 3,450 mAh.
Both devices feature Fast Charging, which Google claims can get you up to 7 hours of use in just 10 minutes. The Nexus 5X pricing starts at $379, while the Nexus 6P starts at $499. Both are now available for pre-ordering.
